Detox Bath (and other relaxing soaks you can make)

If you are like me your regular week is full of running around like crazy and barely having time to care if your hair looks good or not, never mind taking time to beautify or having money to buy things for pampering yourself. As a woman, it is important to take care of ourselves and to take time for ourselves. (balance is key)  It is in our nature as a woman (even the not so girly girl ones like me) to beautify and desire to be beautiful. It also helps our self esteem, is an oasis in the middle of craziness, and can benefit our relationship with our spouse (taking care of yourself makes him feel good too).

Make some time this week to find an oasis and soak.

Ginger Bath

A great bath for when you are starting to feel sick.

A Cleansing Soak

Once a week for 20 minutes, sit in a hot bath that contains a handful of Epsom salts, 10 drops of lavender essential oil, and a half cup of baking soda. This combo draws out toxins, lowers stress-related hormones, and balances your pH levels.

Honey Foaming Bath Soap

A silky luxurious bath that will moisturize your skin while you soak.

1 cup sweet almond oil (you may substitute a light olive oil)
1/2 cup organic honey
1/2 cup liquid hand soap
1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Add all the ingredients to a clean plastic bottle with a squeeze top and shake gently until completely incorporated. Be sure to shake again before using. Squeeze desired amount under running water into a bathtub. Step in and enjoy!
