This morning during yoga the sun was shining just right and the dog was rolling around playfully. It made me want to capture the moment, just as it was. Raw. Unfiltered.
So I set the camera to macro and started to capture all of my favorite views around the house.
No picking up laundry first. No instgram filters. No putting on a facade. Real. As is.
My dying herb garden. Failures.
My once white, lace duvet cover. Dirty and stained.
Sometimes it is so hard to admit your life isn’t perfect. When social media and edited photos are how most people see into our world, it is tempting to never show certain sides of our lives.
Take a moment and look around. Fall in love with the “imperfection” around you. The little things that make your life what it is. The life that is worth living to you.
Enjoy the fact there are dishes in the sink, you ate today. There is laundry on the floor, you have clothing. The bed is unmade, you slept warm and safe.
Be grateful for the little things. The imperfect things. The hidden things.
