Alaffia Shea Butter Soap: Equality ~ Empowerment ~ Beauty.

As I was opening the package my husband swooped up the Sandalwood bar, opened it, and claimed it for his own before I could even get a picture. So, yes there is 6 bars in the pack. These soaps are gorgeously packaged in this unique paper.

There are 5 different scents included. Sandalwood Ylang Ylang, fresh lavender, lemongrass citrus, raspberry, and pineapple coconut. I honestly don’t know which one I want to try first! (it will most likely be the lavender, I love relaxing smells)

The bar lathers so nicely and shea butter is amazing for your skin.

Alaffia is a great company that helps empower women in West Africa.

“Alaffia was created to help West African communities become sustainable through the fair trade of indigenous resources. One key to sustainability is empowerment of individuals within the communities. We encourage empowerment through our community projects, our women’s cooperatives, and education and involvement in our customer communities. We firmly believe that the cooperation of people across the world is as essential part of building sustainability in all our communities.”

Since 2006 Alaffia has distributed 6,300 bikes to students, funded 3,237 births, and planted 42,625 trees.

I feel great about purchasing their products. (and the soap is truly amazing)

Here is where we find the Sandalwood Ylang Ylang bar… already in use. They are good sized bars that will last a while.

I’m off to revel in the amazing smell of Fresh Lavender. Go check out more about Alaffia and purchase this product on Amazon!
